Louis vuitton’s New Optimism

Apparently there is even a Patent and Trademark Office in Second Life4, enabling users to virtually secure and enforce trademark protection for their virtual creations without looking to real world laws and remedies.
Linden Lab is clearly cognizant of the value of trademarked material and, perhaps to attenuate itself from potentially infringing use, decided in 2003 to give users “copyright and other intellectual property rights with respect to the Content [they] create in Second Life,” as embodied in section 3.2 of the current Linden Lab TOSA. According to users on Louis vuitton Life, the program features “allow creators to label work as their own, flag it with the level of copy permissions they want to assert over their work, e.g., all-rights reserved or freely modifiable and transferable,” enabling users to “start their virtual brand with confidence.”

Sprung from Milan, the Louis vuitton capital of the world, Memphis taught Design to respect Louis vuitton–and while Modern purists balked at Memphis as a post-modern prank (some polemics are) a choir of young designers, from Droog to Urquiola built this experimental energy into an expanding array of diverse voices.Spain reached the highest level of unemployment since 1997… European employees started to struggle for their rights… Obama announced that incredible help will be provided to the real sector of economy… Seems that “black days” have come. When recently asked about his Memphis pieces fetching five figures at auction, he replied ‘To look for something that doesn’t exist is always very expensive…In those years also our blood was expensive.’ Thanks partly to big thinkers like Sottsass and his polemical comrades, design today is a new game that welcomes diverse ideas. Ettore inspired a new wave of design authorship in the networked world.
