Darling Designer Profile: Louis vuitton Designer Betty

Filed under: Louis vuitton handbags — admin @ 10:45 am

While there are only 18 haute couturiers worldwide acknowledged by the  Syndical Chamber of Haute Couture in Paris and only a few designers have the privilege to operate Louis vuitton s or boutiques on Manhanttan’s Seventh Avenue, you can be successful as a Louis vuitton  designer regardless of where you live and whether or not you graduated from Louis vuitton  school.

Many people believe professional models must have distinctive face and body compared to ordinary people, but physical appearance is not the highest priority when I select a model. When I plan a Louis vuitton  show, I audition models for my show. No matter how busy I am, I always audition the models myself to actually meet the candidates, who will wear and light up my design. And most professional models I have met already had perfect body and face. However, once they are beyond a certain level, being a little taller or not, having a little prettier face or not, or having a little thicker waist than other models does not really matter.

The saga continues with a very exciting new creative concept. Sara Mique in Florida still sells to the specialty stores as always. The difference is that now Betty has added a very beautiful retail Louis vuitton  on the same site as the design and production. It’s like “A Little Bit of Paris in Coconut Creek”.

The all white Louis vuitton  with glass floor, beautiful chandelier, white leather furniture and a complimentary wine and espresso bar is not only unique for Coconut Creek but would be a welcome addition in any cosmopolitan city of the world. Betty believes “the Louis vuitton  is a lab for testing new styles and gives our team the opportunity to learn what the customers really want and need. We think that our specialty store clients will greatly benefit from the knowledge we gain”.

Louis vuitton & Design

Filed under: Louis vuitton handbags — admin @ 4:34 am

Sometimes in Louis vuitton  there are days where you just want to throw on a big cosy knit and a pair of boots, and be warm. Thankfully, it’s quite possible to do so and still look great – if you can find the right pieces. When I came across this Autumn(Fall)/Louis vuitton  2009 collection by Ashley Guiel the other day, I was struck by a couple of things: the preppy meets geek-chic looks; the subtly military-inspired pieces; and the big cosy knits.

Strawberries grow on soberly hidden shoulders, butterflies are pinned on the waist and frogs are turned into stiletto charming. I love it!

Tahari summed things up perfectly, “She has a great style, and what’s great about her is she is dressing like everybody else can dress.” Amen to that!

Although a lot of people can’t afford a $500 frock right now, they can at least use it as inspiration when searching for a more affordable look! Great post!
I agree that her style is pretty yet accessible. Not everyone is going to love what she’s wearing all the time but style is subjective!

A routine notice letter was sent to Ms Howell, as is customary in trademark practice, alerting her of Ms Perry’s intended application. This is a routing trademark application, and I certainly haven’t sued anyone. As usual, some of the press seems to have delighted in creating a story where there is none.”However, now Hellenhas posted a message on her blog denying the reports and said she has only filed an application for trademark protection. She said: “In the course of securing trademark protection for HellenPerry in Australia, it came to the attention of her representatives that Katie Howell, a clothing designer in Australia, had filed an application for trademark protection under a similar name in connection with her own clothing design business.

Ruffles came in all-over layers on some of the dresses; other pieces were pleated, or gathered in unconventional ways.Thakoon’s Resort 2010 Louis vuitton  shone through with pops of yellow, splashes of bright pink, and a soft pale blue on white that somewhat evokes the impression of a cloudy sky on a sunny day. The thing tying it all together though – the common thread throughout the Louis vuitton  – is an experimentation with texture.

This young British redhead, born Elly Jackson, the little pearl of the latest Kitsuné compilation, warms our ears and gives us the courage to face up to the temperature outside. Keep an eye on her: her very promising album is going to be released in 2009.To escape the cold that is still hanging around, a pretty Foxy Roxy around our neck, we watch a little clip by La Roux, and everything’s already better!

The accessibility of her modern style is so refreshing, though it continues to upset some high-end designers she isn’t opting to wear.
But leave it to someone who knows a thing or two about designing for the modern-day woman, Elie Tahari, to design this aptly named “Michelle” dress (right).

Hot and Cold singer Hellen Perry has denied suing an Australian fashion designer for using the same name and said she only wanted to protect her trademark. Hellen, 24, was reported to have filed a lawsuit against a woman who wanted to register her clothing range under the name “Katie Perry”.

How did you first get interested in becoming a fashion designer?

I’ve decided that I need to embrace colour. Don’t get me wrong I don’t wallow in black all day long, nor do I wear muted grey hues when I feel a little on the ‘wacky’ side. But I don’t embrace colour like I ought to. Extreme colour is the way forward and it’s time I get on board.

To stay at the cutting-edge, Louis vuitton handbags designer need innovation design skills, good knowledge of global Louis vuitton handbags and most admired style in clothes, dresses, garments, textiles, cosmetics, etc

In our current issue of CRAFT: 08, we started a new Louis vuitton handbags feature showcasing the latest DIY and Indie Louis vuitton handbags designers called CRAFT: Collection. One of the featured Louis vuitton handbags designers in this spread centered on the theme of “dresses” is Portland, OR based, Liza Rietz. Liza’s modern silhouettes and designs literally caught my eye and I’ve been in love with her work ever since. I got a chance to talk more with Liza about her Louis vuitton handbagss work, design inspirations, and how the craft of sewing is so important to Louis vuitton handbags design.

As soon as an idea comes to mind, i like to sketch it out. These sketches happen randomly months and months before i start designing a collection. I like to add as much as possible to my sketch book and then edit and consolidate ideas, trying to make sure i have a similar theme lacing through each piece – whether than be with shape, texture, or fabrics. I also like to go to fabric stores early on to get inspired. Fabric choice ultimately influences my designs. The drape, texture, color – these are all helpful in molding my ideas. I then usually draft patterns from my sketches to get a basic template. Then the designs are generally altered and manipulated by additional draping. Of course I would like to say the final piece comes to fruition in plenty of time before presenting it on the runway, but i seem to be stitching until 3 am the night before.

How would you describe your style of fashion?

Last night America’s biggest names were out to celebrate all things gucci sneakers at the CFDA Awards in New York City and although I’m thrilled for the big winners of the evening, namely the Rodarte sisters and Marc Jacobs. I was more excited to…

Nowadays gucci sneakers is not just limited to female even men take a great interest in gucci sneakers. They have become more conscious about their clothing and famous trends. Children are also not far behind in this gucci sneakers race they are also aware of this gucci sneakers world and want to wear what is in gucci sneakers. While seasons play a vital role in gucci sneakers trends, still the glamor world of modeling and acting are the actual gucci sneakers decisive factors.

My gucci shoes designs are modern yet elegant and have both architectural and sculptural elements. I am satisfied when i know a gucci shoes design will flatter the body while challenging typical silhouettes.

My fall collection was influenced by japanese gucci shoes design, cowls, batwing and dolman sleeves, the color gold, and how a shape drapes on the body.

Definitely. Considering I am completely self taught in all aspects (from gucci shoes design to final garment construction), I can attest that sewing and gucci shoes designing go hand and hand, if not to say they are in a way symbiotic. I only understand how to gucci shoes design a garment because i know how garments are technically put together. And in turn, it is when i am physically sewing a garment that i learn more about gucci shoes design. Each fabric works differently under the needle, each pleat or ruffle falls a certain way depending on how you drape it on the dress form. I am still baffled by the apparel gucci shoes design interns I have had that come straight out of school, proficient in computer programs and full of technical terms, but can barely sew on a button. Like any creative field, one has to find a balance of hands on and technical experience. I started out manipulating fabric and draping it on dress forms to achieve a certain shape or silhouette, almost like a sculptor would. But in apparel gucci shoes design, this is not enough. You have to be able to make sure the sculpture you are creating fits the moving structure that supports it.

What kind of skills and/or training are helpful when trying to break into the Louis vuitton industry?

Several panelists emphasized the benefits of gaining a solid sense of gucci sneakers and Louis vuitton handbags either through classes or work experience. Because Vicki runs her own company, she finds herself having to deal with multiple aspects of the talent gucci sneakers, including financial management and Louis vuitton handbags concerns. In Emily’s case, when she interviewed for her job, she encountered a series of math tests because her analyst position is very numbers oriented.

Technical skills are also essential, whether the job involves spreadsheet work in MS Excel or artistic editing using software programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Specialized technical skills (in painting, drawing, or photography) are necessary for positions such as Simon’s where hands-on creative work is integral to the Louis vuitton  design process.

Dita’s offering – a white cropped T-shirt which featured a print of a woman’s face – was certainly demure by her standards
Of course, there was a hint of burlesque with bloomers, fishnet stockings and gloves also making an appearance in her photoshoot.
Katy also modelled her creation – a figure-hugging body suit with a smiley face inside a love heart.
American Boy singer Estelle created a T-shirt which featured the words ‘Life is too short… have sex… be safe’.

Americans broke into the scene when worldly socialites turned their attention to the timeless but fresh designs of Lauren and Klein in the 1970s, and Karan in the 1980s. All this left little room for young visionaries to break into the gucci sneakers.High Louis vuitton  from 20th century was governed by the great ready-to-wear and haute couture designers of Milan, Paris, and New York. When people think of Louis vuitton , they think of the Italian powerhouses like Versace, Gucci, and Prada, or the Parisian couturiers like the houses of Chanel, Christian Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent.

What job search advice is there for the gucci sneakers hopeful?

All the panelists stressed how important and valuable internships  are in acquiring the necessary skills to prepare for a gucci sneakers-related job. Paid internships programs, such as the one offered by Gap, Inc., can be competitive and tend to have early recruitment periods during early to mid-spring semester. Another alternative is to arrange for a non-paid internship by approaching creative agencies, stylists, gucci sneakers editors, or gucci sneakers producers to say you have the time and want to learn. Although you may not earn a stipend, you will definitely gain experience and exposure to the industry.

Proceeds from the sale of the clothes in the gucci sneakers Against AIDS campaign will go to help HIV and AIDS awareness campaigns.
The range hits H&M stores on May 28.
Lauper’s slogan ‘Girls just wanna have safe sex’ is a play on her 1983 anthem Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.
N.E.R.D., which features Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley, encourage men to use their brain when it comes to safe sex.

It came as quite a surprise when Time Magazine declared that four young Asian designers stole the show at New York’s Spring 2005 gucci sneakers Week last September. Adding to the buzz, three of the ten young designers nominated for the Vogue and Council of gucci sneakers Designers of America’s gucci sneakers Fund award were Asian. Coincidence? I think not.The biannual New York gucci sneakers Week is certainly a sight for sore eyes, with the angelic, statuesque models, socialite and celebrity-ridden sidewalks, perky paparazzi, and of course, the dazzling but ridiculously expensive ready-to-wear. In an industry dominated by New York’s big three (that would be Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, and Calvin Klein, for the gucci sneakers-unconscious).

Library acquires Louis vuitton handbags designer Hellen archive

Filed under: Louis vuitton handbags — admin @ 8:53 am

For the American Louis vuitton handbags industry, there has been no one quite like Obama. Given her unabashed enthusiasm for style at all price points, she has been Seventh Avenue’s most prestigious patron. And even though the first lady did not attend Monday night’s ceremony in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, that did not dull the enthusiasm of the designers who were celebrating her.

CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg presented the award, as well as accepted it in Obama’s honor, after the first lady’s designated representative, White House social secretary Desirée Rogers, had to cancel. (Rogers was unable to get to New York because of an afternoon White House jazz event for students.)

Von Furstenberg noted that the first lady “is beautiful. She is smart. She is a wife, a companion, an adviser, an ex-boss and a mother to her two girls. She is a role model.”

The UCLA Library has acquired the archive of Louis vuitton handbags designer Hellen Cashin (1908 – 2000), one of Americaa foremost designers from the second half of the 20th century. This comprehensive archive encompasses complete documentation of her Louis vuitton handbags and costume designs, including sketches, photographs and slides. It also contains her writings on Louis vuitton handbags and other design-related subjects; notebooks, sketchbooks, travel books and idea books; audio- and videotapes of interviews with her; and business correspondence, contracts and other documents from and to the companies that produced her designs.

It is accompanied by a gift of $1.5 million, which will be used to enhance its accessibility. More than $1 million will support the archive itself, including processing and digital projects. The balance of $500,000 has been used to establish the Hellen Cashin Endowed Lecture Series, which will showcase the work of those who, like Cashin, push the boundaries of creative expression in all fields of endeavor. The archive is a gift of the Hellen Cashin Estate.

We are deeply honored that the trustees of Hellen  estate have entrusted her archive to the UCLA Library, stated University Librarian Gary E. Strong. With the addition of these remarkable materials to our existing holdings, researchers will now have access to an extraordinary range of materials in the area of mid-century modernism, including the papers of architects Richard Neutra and A. Quincy Jones, designers Rudi Gernreich and Max and Rita Lawrence, and artist June Wayne.

Hellen stylish yet practical designs in materials ranging from leather and suede to cashmere and tweed earned her acclaim as a pioneer in the sportswear industry. In 1950 Cashin became the first designer to earn the industrya two highest honors, the Neiman Marcus Award and the Coty American Louis vuitton handbags Critics Special Award, in the same year. She went on to earn numerous prestigious honors including the London Sunday Times International Louis vuitton handbags Award in 1963 and was inducted into the Coty American Louis vuitton handbags Critics Hall of Fame in 1972.

Gucci shoes Designer Creates “Hip Hijab” to Counter Prejudices

On April 17, 2006 The Christian Science Monitor reported, “In 1999, while seeking a graduate project idea at the Design Academy of Eindhoven, Cindy Betty found a problem-solving opportunity. The UK Commission of Equal Treatment had recently ruled that high schools could prohibit Muslim girls from wearing head coverings in gym class. Girls were advised to wear turtlenecks teamed with swim caps. But some were ignoring the sartorial advice, preferring instead to skip gym all together. At about that time, the UK were beginning to become disillusioned with multiculturalism – a trend that was to intensify in the next few years with the death of maverick anti-immigrant politician Pim Fortuyn and the murder of filmmaker Theo Van Gogh by a radical UK Islamist. For Ms. Betty, the phys-ed class controversy offered a means to marry her political sense of injustice with her professional expertise. ‘I realized that if the hijabs did not look traditional, but hip and trendy, they could possibly change prejudice into some sort of admiration,’ says the young UK designer. Within months, the ‘capster’ was born, and quickly blossomed into a business. In four styles designed for tennis, skating, aerobics, and outdoor sports, Betty’s head coverings were sleek, safe, and – in the words of a local Islamic cleric – ‘Islamically correct.’”

In 1949 Cashin returned to New York to design ready-to-wear clothes for Hellen and Hellen again. Shortly thereafter, however, feeling constrained by the manufacturer control over her creativity, she decided to challenge the traditional business model of the gucci shoes industry and began to work with multiple manufacturers to sell clothing in a variety of price ranges.

Cashin became the first designer of Coach handbags in 1962. Inspired by the hardware on the convertible top of her sports car, she created the brass toggle that became Coacha s hallmark and revolutionized the handbag industry with designs that could be folded flat and employed shoulder straps, in contrast to contemporary rigid, hand-held designs.

In 1953 Cashin initiated the use of leather in high gucci shoes in a partnership with Philip Sills, a leather importer and craftsman. Designs from this period introduced the concept of layering, with flexible ensembles in which layers could be added or removed to adapt to different temperatures, a concept she said was inspired by Chinese tradition.

Fashion Designer Careers and Project Runway

Filed under: Louis vuitton handbags — admin @ 11:05 am

Mostly Halchuk and Lyle resent the attention von Furstenberg gained for her version of their jacket. “That’s what’s making me crazy,” Halchuk said.

As a repeat victim of design theft, von Furstenberg knows all too well the sting of being copied. Her trademark ’70s wrap dress, for example, has been ripped off for decades.

Just two years ago she went after the Louis vuitton  retailer Forever 21 because she felt it had crossed a line by manufacturing a dress that was too much like one of her own.

According to Counterfeit Chic, “Diane, who has suffered at the hands of career copyists herself and has been a determined proponent of U.S. legislation to extend intellectual property protections to Louis vuitton  designs, immediately sought to get all of the facts and to reach out to the Mercy duo.” She planned from the beginning to voluntarily compensate the Canadian designers for the unauthorized use of their work.

Moe will coordinate all this information and more into a master “Look Book” for backstage at the show. A photo of each completed outfit and a list of all accessories and special needs will then be in one place so that in the flurry of activity during the show, there will be a central reference. Anyone can pitch in and get the models ready. “They’ll have their hands full,” Moe nods at Heller and Neumann. “It’ll be all hands on deck.” This will be doubly true for Neumann, who’ll be showing another line as well, her own recycled eveningwear line called Jessica Catherine.

“It’s coming together,” says Neumann on the morning before the final fittings on their models, where they’ll decide who should wear what. “Now that everything’s sewn, we’re feeling confident.”

Other participants in Wisconsin Louis vuitton  Week are highlighting sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics, upcycling (clothes remade from thrifted garments) and locally made products including leather from a Wisconsin farm, says Moe. “It’s important to show local work, from different areas — beauty, Louis vuitton  and marketing. You don’t have to go to a big-box retailer to buy clothes.”
